Winter Wonderland - a sketch with santa

At Winter Wonderland this week we have a brilliant sketch designed by the fabulous Pascale you can find it here.
She has also requested we have Santa somewhere on the card. Ive used dovecraft papers and card from stash for the majority of the card. Ive used adirondack inks for the main image - trees are an un known polymer stamp and the flying santa and sleigh is by Anitas. Ive added some stickles to the trees for a bit of glitzy snow too. The gorgeous sentiment is by Magnolia - I love it so you will possibly see it lots over the coming months LOL.
The challenge is being sponsored by the Fabulous Christine Dark otherwise known as Sketching stamper. Check her blog out here for some brilliant digi images - the prize is 3 of the winners choosing so a great prize to win. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with this week x Happy Sunday x Janet

A quick play

With a cute Forever friends stamp my pal Emma gave me last weekend - coloured with promarkers and cut out with nesties. The sentiment is also from forever friends and papers from papermania. Just a quickie but my Christmas card pile is growing!
Have a great day x Janet

Winter Wonderland

My first card as DT member. This weeks challenge is chosen by Danielle and is to have an aperture in your card and maybe create a scene. Ive delved into my stroking box again and used these Basic grey papers. Ive made a tent card using my nesties to make the aperture in both the card and the paper. The cute little Reindeer is a digi stamp from our fabulous sponsor this week - Delicious Doodles. Teri who designs these has a fabulous range so do hop on over for a look.
Back to the card - Ive used some white peel offs for the tree and the presents, A Kanban sentiment and ribbon fom stash. the cute Reindeer is coloured using promarkers.
So I hope my card will do - I certainly had fun making it.

Winter wonderland challenge

New beginnings happening over at Winter Wonderland this week with some of the team moving on, a DT call and some new things going on for winners! This week they are asking us to work from a sketch which you can find here.
Ive done 2 cards for this challenge Hurrah! Ive even raided my stroking box for these gorgeous basic grey wassail papers from 2 Christmases ago. Above image is of course forever friends - coloured with promarkers and cut out with my nesties - sentiment is a digi one not 100% sure if its a Pink Petticoat one - again this is a left over from my Christmas cards last year. Buttons and ribbons from stash.
This card is using all the same materials just different colour ways with a High Hopes Fairy - again coloured with promarkers just her wings have been touched with silver sakura (thanks mum x)

Bah Humbug!

Oh Dear I am slacking! This challenge finished last Friday and Ive only just finished the card! Ive been sooo busy with other stuff my pledge to keep up with 2 cards and 2 atcs for Christmas every week has fallen by the wayside. I hope this is just a blip as I have had a busy "birthday" time with one thing and another which will hopefully settle down again in a week or two.

So onto the card - The theme was snowmen. Ive used a gorgeous snowman stamp from inkadinkadoo and stamped him in white stazon onto acetate then mounted it on to dark blue card and then turquiose mirri card. All cardstock is Kanban - Lace and ribbon from stash - sentiment inkadinkadoo stamped with adirondack ink. Papers are by K&Co.

I did manage one atc though which is my pif for February over on the docrafts atc forum. Pif stands for pass it forward so this goes to my lovely friend Joyce who is under me on the list.

Snowflakes have been stamped with white stazon onto acetate then fastened to the black card with the winter sentiment. snowflake stamp is inkadinkadoo, the winter stamp Im not sure but is only part of a stamp that says welcome winter. Ive added 2010 to the sentiment as I think this just about sums up the winter this year - Snow LOL!

So I managed half - wonder if I can do better next week!

Winter wonderland

Oh My - the colour combo at Winter wonderland this week is Satsuma, chocolate and gold. Initially I thought ahhhh Terrys Chocolate orange - very Christmassy so I went off to gather supplies. However putting the card together was not easy (the bin got quite a few!) as I found the colours really hard and the results didnt feel Christmassy at all so despite my pledge to do 2 cards and 2 atcs for each challenge this is the only decent thing I produced!
Cardstock- Kanban
Papers - stampin up
Stamps- paperartsy
Border punch - Martha Stewart
Buttons and Bows - papermania
sentiment stamp - I think is snag'em
So there it is my winter wonderland entry for this week - Hope I get more inspiration for the next challenge!
