Twas the night before Christmas

This is one of the most gorgeous poems I know and yesterday I found it at the local craft shop as a graphic 45 paper. I'm not usually blessed with seeing what I would like to do immediately with a project but with this one I could see this end product clearly!

Here is the inside of a huge gatefold card. It is 9 1/4 x 9 inches as the size of the poem dictated the inside size of the card. I've used stampin up not quite navy card stock, black and cream. The patterned papers around the edges and sides is from the paper waste.

I love how it has turned out - I hope the photos do it some justice as I am really proud of it!

The stamping on the cards front 2 panels is with weathered wood distress ink and Tim Holtz Christmas stamps - a perfect combination with the papers. So Olde worlde.

I just adore making Christmas cards - this one is a particular favourite although I'm not sure I have an envelope to fit it LOL! 2 eyelets, some ribbon and a heart charm and its complete. I'm entering this into the Bah Humbug challenge which I believe is anything goes x
Hope you like it too!
