MoJo Monday and Fabs challenge

I think the sketch at MoJo Monday is fab this week and love the option of round or square! Fabs challenge this week was a good one too of snowflakes or punches so here is my entry for both. Everything except the card blank is from stampin up for this card. I spent the day in Christmas mode and actually made 16 cards and 2 atcs but i wouldn't bore you with them all LOL so here are 3 of my favourites plus the 2 atcs. Im definately getting there thats 20 cards done already and this stampin up set is going to last forever - it will make at least the same again!
Papermania stamp is the main focus here and ribbon from stash

Sentiment papermania, baubles from craftwork cards.

Awww so cute :0) Forever friends as if you didn't know, coloured with promarkers - those sticky borders are a dream to work with!

Sorry about these poor pics I hadn't been drinking honest!

So there we have it!
Have a great day x Janet

Colour create challenge

This was another of my favourite challenges last year that fell by the wayside but is perfect for my vow to keep up with my Christmas crafting all year. Fab colour combo of kraft, blue and white with the option of texture. My baubles are embossed and by Craftwork cards.

Snowflake and let it snow stamp by sandylion, whisper white ink pad, scalloped circle and border punch from stampin up, Kraft card and other card from stash
As promised I have made 2 cards and 2 atcs. the trees are also from craftwork cards and a little stickles for some sparkle.

I feel quite pleased with myself for being so organised so something is bound to happen to up stage it! what do the say "pride comes before a fall". Im being very careful i promise LOL

Winter wonderland challenge

I was so excited when this challenge came out last year and entered a few times but then got waylaid by other things and didnt do as much as I would have liked - Not this year! I am determined to do as many as possible although when i checked this weeks challenge I thought it maybe a no no. I was delighted to find the teal and burgundy card stock in my stampin up stash and as I had a craft day at the local shop yesterday this was a project I set myself.

Are those colours not just delightful! Thanks team for choosing them! The main image stamp is by Papermania - bought 3 years ago and sadly neglected - not any more! Punch is from stampin up, snowflake from a Sandylion stamp set and the Merry Christmas from a docrafts one. Ribbon I bought in the shop yesterday. I had already decided i was going to make 2 cards and 2 atcs for every challenge so here is the rest of them!
Bauble stamps are the duos from papemania - love these! Inks are Archival teal and adirondack currant. Other stamps as above.

And these just use up the leftovers!
Fabulous colour choice WW team - I loved playing with them - isnt it great to play with something you wouldnt normally do?
Have a fab day - I will be back with another challenge soon!

Wall hangings and Craks

I had an unexpected day off work yesterday due to the ice so made good use of my time to do a few Christmassy things. Firstly this wall hanging, which i think will be a gift. The papers I bought in the sale half price and are by papermania - the bauble stamps were half price too. Ribbon from stash and some gold split rings left over from a wedding invite order to fasten them together.

I think the papers are gorgeous - im almost tempted to keep some to stroke!

The glittered letters came in a Samuel Taylor goody bag back in October - this is the second wall hanging I have used them on - really useful!

And with bits left over I have made 6 craks (Christmas Random Act of Kindness) for my buddies on the docrafts atc forum. Im thinking of hosting a crak club for this coming year - we are all being bitten by the postage for doing our swaps so Im thinking of a way to reduce postage but still be able to send them so watch this space!

And finally 2 tea light gifts for the surprise room at the school fayre - when I eventually get some more battery operated tea lights I will make more of these. the idea came from Feb Issue of craft stamper although mine are much more basic!

Thanks for stopping by x Janet

So my first projects for Christmas 2010!

These jars will be filled with sweeties for the school fayre. The Fayre has a surprise room where children can go choose, buy and wrap Christmas gifts for parents and Grandparents so they must be priced reasonably whilst still making some money. the squarish jars are from Asdas caramelised onion chutney - I love it. They must go through the dishwasher a few times though as the smell lingers on!

These coffee break boxes are for the surprise room too - made using the ultimate crafters companion box maker and 6inch square card. ribbon and papers from dovecraft. They will have a sachet of coffee or a tea bag, 2 sachets of sugar and a chocolate biscuit added nearer the time.
These have gone to my brothers to store in the loft until November!

Yes you have guessed it its a roses tin in disguise! I make lots of Christmas cakes every year to give away as gifts so I collect the sweet tins from family, friends and colleagues after Christmas.
I would usually alter them before i sent them out but ran out of time last year so here they are all done and ready for the cakes! Now they can go up in the loft in a bin liner until I need them in December.

Papers used are Minasie Moo by blonde moments

and Winter wonderland by Dovecraft.

5 Altogether - but no red tins this year usually get some celebration tins too which are more the traditional Chrsitmassy colours.

Found 3 more jars to decorate with the left overs!

So I feel im ahead - how long will that last LOL

And so another blog

To save all those people fed up of Christmas Ive decided to keep my Christmas preparations on here. I so love Christmas and feel its gone too quickly this year Ive decided Im going to play all year with my Christmas stash.

Ive been busy making things for the Christmas Fayre at the local school so will upload pictures soon of my efforts - all things I can make in advance to be filled nearer the time.

Ive also been redecorating my sweetie tins from this year - ok not technically all mine only 1 is but ive collected 5 which Ive decorated to hold my Christmas Cake presents - so Im already getting ahead and its only the 7th January.

Will share some pics soon x
